SUPPLEMENTAL
UNEMPLOYMENT & DISABILITY BENEFITS
(SUB)
Supplemental unemployment
and disability benefits in the amount of $100 per week are
available to eligible private sector Local 456 members who
are receiving unemployment compensation
or disability benefits from New York State. Members must
present a copy of an unemployment compensation or disability
check from either the State fund or from an employer's
private insurance company to be eligible for the SUB benefit.
The SUB benefit payable is for a maximum of 26 weeks.
SUB Rules To receive a weekly SUB benefit after a participant is ruled
eligible by the SUB Administrator the member must:
• Call the Union
Hiring Hall at
914-592-4828
every day during the period
of unemployment to show your availability for work,
OR
• Sign in at the Union Hiring Hall on a daily
basis,.
OR
• Sign in at any picket line approved by Local
456.
Failure to comply with the above rules may lead to the
loss of a weekly benefit.
